The Words Alive Literary Festival could not exist without the generous support of sponsors like you. Your donation will help ensure the success of the festival in its mission to celebrate Canadian authors, enrich the arts in York Region, and promote literacy. There are four sponsorship tiers to choose from:

$1,500 – Words Alive Speakers

By sponsoring this part of our programming, you are helping us welcome to York Region and East Gwillimbury a number of noteworthy authors, including acclaimed writer Nino Ricci. Our 2010 keynote speakers will read from their latest publications with the majestic Sharon Temple as the background for their presentations. In addition to being publicly thanked at the Festival, your organization’s logo will be prominently included on our communications materials (website, poster and program), and we will display on September 18^th, a banner of your choice.

$1,000 – Words Alive Poets and On-The-Spot Poetry

Poetry and performance poetry are central to our enjoyment of the written and spoken word and in 2010 we welcome among others 2008 Governor General Award Winner Jacob Scheier. By contributing to our poetry presentations and our On-The -Spot Poetry Contest, you are helping established, emerging and new poets make their mark. In addition to publicly thanking you at the Festival, we will acknowledge your contribution by placing your logo on our communications materials (website, poster and program), and we will highlight your organization on our Festival Poetry signs.

$750 – Words Alive Learning

An important part of the Words Alive Literary Festival is the opportunity to attend a session led either by one of our authors or poets, or by a literary educator well known for the quality of their workshops. The majority of these sessions take place in the East Gwillimbury Civic Centre so that facilitators can have access to the conveniences they require to present and share. Your organization will be listed as a sponsor on our communications materials (website, poster and program), and we will publicly thank you for your assistance before every workshop presentation on September 18^th.

$500 – Words Alive In East Gwillimbury

A number of writers, poets and organizations in East Gwillimbury are helping to enrich the community’s literary landscape. We are proud to present them and to applaud their achievements in this new area of festival programming. By sponsoring the presentations on the mobile stage, you are helping our citizens participate fully in the annual Words Alive festival. In addition to publicly thanking you at the Words Alive In East Gwillimbury stage, we will list your organization on our communications materials (website, poster and programs).
